Shame on you, EMI.
The guys in Radiohead are not too happy with their (once) longtime record label EMI, and here’s why: EMI is releasing an album titled Radiohead: The Best of. It will feature album tracks, singles, and one b-side that were recorded while the band was with EMI (1992—2005). Not a big deal, right?
Wrong. The collection has not been sanctioned by the guys from Radiohead. They did not even take part in selecting what music would go on the album, and protested its release. However, since EMI owns the publishing rights to the music on the album, it seems there is nothing the guys from Radiohead can do.
Radiohead: The Best of features two discs: the first consists of the majority of chart-topping hits, and the second has singles and less popular tracks. A DVD collection of 21 music videos—nine of which will be released on DVD for the first time—is also on its way.
